We had the pleasure of designing, manufacturing and installing one of the most advanced structures in our history – the FAME MMA competition cage with a 9.5-metre fighting area diameter, set on a 1-metre platform.
The design was created for the largest MMA events, where what counts is not only fighter safety but also the spectacle and the ability to quickly adapt the set to different event formats.
The biggest innovation in this project is our own conversion system, which turns a classic octagonal cage into a square cage (the so-called Roman cage) without replacing the entire structure. This means the organiser can adapt the arena to the nature of the event, even during the fight night itself.
The entire structure, with the surrounding walkway and the LED screen zone, reaches a diameter of around 12 metres, creating an impressive event space ready for the largest television broadcasts and sporting events.
This project was an exceptional engineering challenge for our team. It showed that we can design and manufacture tailor-made solutions that meet the individual requirements of the largest sports organisations. It is projects like this that drive us to create ever more innovative structures.
